"Let me remind you once more, no switching from horse to horse!"

Ride to California - It all started out with Nick joking around and sitting on Heathers lap, but then the evil chaperone told him only one person to a seat and he asked me to move so he could sit by Heather! Can you believe it!? And I actually moved! I had to sit with Charlie (launch all major offensives surrounding that issue)! Well while I was being harassed Heather and Nick were getting comfy underneath the blanket. I got to see Elf, Heather got to kiss Nick on the cheek, and we all got a weekend full of drama. Have I ever mentioned sleeping on buses is hell? The seats are so small if you don't get a window seat (which I didn't) you have to sleep on your bus buddy (which I did). I got maybe 30 minutes of sleep until we arrived at the hotel.

Performance Day - It started out with a breakfast of bagels and talking about what a jerk Brad was being by calling Heather a two-timer (here's the scoop: Heather's liked Brad for two years and he's never shown any interest in her but now that she likes Nick Brad's getting all offended). Next it was off to a four hour rehearsal which wasn't that bad if you're used to rehearsals. Back to the hotel to get ready and off to the competition! It was a pretty laid-back show and I only really screwed up once. We changed out and headed to the second longest awards ceremony ever! It was so cold! It ended up Zack sitting Heather and Maria's lap and me sitting on Matt's lap on the smallest bench ever! We got a percussion caption and a guard caption and 3rd place overall! That night while me and Heather were sleeping Matt came into our room and laid in bed with us! And Maria video taped it! I totally woke up in the movie but I don't remember any of it!

Six Flags/Magic Mountain Day - I'm terrified of roller coasters so today wasn't one of my best days. I ended up riding all the kiddie rides with Maria, and Heather rode the big ones. I ate the biggest funnel cake ever and a box of popcorn. We all rode the merry-go-round for 45 minutes! The guy who was running it (Richard) was so cool! We'd all switch horses while he wasn't looking or we'd do weird poses on the horses to freak him out. But then his shift was over and the new guy (Justin) almost called security on us. I rode: the merry-go-round, the tea cups, the birdcage ride, the kiddie roller coaster, the mini freefall, and this weird tour bus swing ride. Afterwards we drove to Arcadia to spend the night at the Four Point Sheraton. We ate pizza at Round Table and I spent the night in our room watching Desperate Housewives and thinking about my own confused love (or love-less) life.

Ride to Arizona
- I was once again kicked out of my seat (this time by Heather so Brad could sit by her). This time I ended up sitting with Matt with Charlie right in front of us so it was doubly awful. Between getting felt up by drum sticks and hands we watched A Walk To Remember and Heather almost cried (well she did cry a little bit). We stopped in Blythe for lunch and we were home by 5:30.

So that was my trip to California. Exciting huh? Not nearly as fun as last year (except that (and I hate to admit it) the bus ride was better this year). The season's over and to tell ya the truth I kinda miss it. This year might have had it's terrible moments, but it also had some great ones. I'm not gonna get to see everyone everyday, no more Monday night rehearsals, no more joking around with certain people in the guard/tuba room when no ones around, no more crazy stories about puppies or cows or the 2 ½ minutes it takes to get from his aunts house to his grandpas house, no more marching band. I miss it already.
